The Brainerd Warriors Alpine ski teams will host their inaugural SNOWcial from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, at the Quarterdeck Resort and Restaurant. The gathering serves as a direct fundraising mechanism for the student-athletes, with a portion of event proceeds allocated to the program.

The event combines a social mixer with a live auction, allowing attendees to bid on items and discuss sponsorship opportunities. Participants can also sample the restaurant's menu while connecting with the coaching staff and athletes.

The program integrates student-athletes from multiple districts, including Brainerd, Pequot Lakes, Crosby-Ironton, and Pillager. The organizers aim to connect these teams with local families, alumni, and fans who wish to contribute to the athletic budget.

The Quarterdeck Resort is located off County Road 77 on Birch Bay Drive near Mount Ski Gull in Lake Shore. Those seeking details or wishing to make a donation can contact Danae Anderson at 218-330-2338 or visit the team's Facebook page.

The Minnesota State High School League Alpine ski season begins on Nov. 9. Teams are eligible to compete starting Nov. 12, though specific start dates depend on snow conditions at individual venues.

The state championship meet is scheduled for Feb. 9 at Giant’s Ridge Golf and Ski Resort in Biwabik.
