Victor Wembanyama scored a career-high 43 points for the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, leading his team to a 121-111 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves at home.

The victory marks the fourth consecutive win for San Antonio, a result that came despite the Spurs trailing by one point at the halftime break.

Minnesota entered the game dealing with major absences. Star guard Anthony Edwards missed the contest due to a knee injury, while Donte DiVincenzo remained out following Achilles surgery. The Timberwolves also did not play center Rudy Gobert, who suffered low back spasms. This was Minnesota's third loss in its last four games.

The game swung back and forth in the first half. The Spurs built a 10-point lead in the first quarter, but Minnesota answered with a 16-0 run to take a 51-46 lead at the end of the second period. Wembanyama finished the half with 24 points, the highest total among all players, while De'Aaron Fox added 10. On the other side, Ayo Dosunmu scored 14 and Jaden McDaniels had 13 for the visitors.

San Antonio took control in the third quarter, taking a 73-65 lead after Dylan Harper scored on a dunk. The Spurs extended their advantage to 10 points before Kuminga hit a three-pointer to cut the deficit to 93-88 entering the final period. In the fourth quarter, the Spurs used a 12-2 run to pull away. Although Minnesota closed the gap to four points on a McDaniels jumper with under seven minutes left, San Antonio responded with a 6-2 run to secure the win. Wembanyama's three-pointer with 2:40 remaining put the game out of reach at 118-107.

Wembanyama also recorded seven rebounds and six blocks. Harper contributed 25 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Fox finished with 22 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Reserve Julian Champagnie added 12 points off the bench for San Antonio.

Dosunmu led the Timberwolves with 27 points and nine rebounds. McDaniels and Jonathan Kuminga each scored 19 points. Joan Beringer added 12 points, while Jaylen Clark and LaMelo Ball scored 10 each. Ball was fouled out after shooting 2-for-10 from the field.
