Jimmy Kimmel opened his Thursday night show by noting that President Donald Trump appears to be in a good mood.

The host made the comment ahead of next week's midterm elections, which could result in the president's party losing control of both houses of Congress.

Kimmel played a video clip of Trump losing his temper at a reporter. The reporter asked if the president canceled a rally planned for Saturday in Kansas because he was tired of traveling. Trump told the reporter, “You are a sick guy.”

The president then attacked the reporter's physical appearance. “Look at this dope, look at this guy, he’s way out of shape,” Trump said. He added, “You are disgusting. Put yourself in shape, you look like hell.”

Kimmel responded by pointing out the irony. “Imagine him calling someone else out of shape,” the host said. He suggested that perhaps there are no mirrors in the White House. Kimmel proposed that someone should take Trump to the Reflecting Pool so he could look at himself.

The president canceled two rallies scheduled for this weekend. Recent rallies have faced interruptions from hecklers. One person sang, “Trump went on the Jeffrey Epstein plane.” Kimmel referred to Epstein as Trump’s “BFJeff” because they were once close friends.

At the rally, Trump claimed he removed Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago resort because the financier was “a whack job.” Kimmel argued that this explanation did not make sense. “I know for a fact he didn’t throw him out because he was a ‘whack job,’” the host said. He suggested the real reason could be found by asking Epstein.

Kimmel played footage from last year in which Trump explained the split. Trump recalled that Epstein hired away the staff at the Mar-a-Lago spa. “He was fine, and then not too long after that, he did it again and I said, ‘outta here,’” Trump said in the clip.

Kimmel concluded the segment by summarizing the president's motivation. “The minute his pedophile best friend started poaching his massage girls, that was it. He was out!” the host said.
