Lamar Jackson participated fully in practice on Wednesday at the Ravens facility in Owings Mills. This marks his first full session since injuring his ankle on October 4 during a home victory over Tennessee. The team has not issued official game status designations, which are scheduled for Friday. However, the move to the full participant list on the initial Week 8 injury report suggests he will start against the Buffalo Bills.
The Baltimore offense has struggled without its two-time MVP. The team sits at 4-3 after losing two consecutive games in the AFC North. Under backup quarterback Tyler Huntley, the record is 1-2. The most recent defeat was a 35-13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. The Ravens trailed by 13 points at halftime before collapsing in the second half.
Teammates expressed confidence in Jackson's return while noting the team cannot rely on him alone. Running back Derrick Henry described Jackson as the heart and soul of the group. Left tackle Ronnie Stanley added that the return would be a big boost but emphasized the need for collective effort.
Injury concerns extend beyond the quarterback position. The Ravens lost three defensive regulars on Wednesday. Edge rusher Za'Darius Smith left the previous game with a knee issue, and defensive lineman Uchenna Nwosu is expected to miss time with a sprained knee. Rookie running back Adam Randall returned to practice, opening his 21-day activation window from injured reserve.
The game is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 1, in Orchard Park, New York. CBS will broadcast the contest with Ian Eagle providing play-by-play and Ross Tucker serving as analyst. The matchup marks the final game before the holiday weekend, as it occurs two days before Election Day.
The Ravens will release two more injury reports before the game. Friday's report will assign official designations such as out, doubtful, or questionable. If Jackson carries no designation, he is expected to play. The team must announce inactive players 90 minutes before kickoff, which is 11:30 a.m. ET. If his status changes, Huntley will start for the fourth straight week.
