Christin Marie Studio released the Solstice Hoop, a modernized version of the classic bamboo earring. The new piece joins the brand’s flagship Solstice collection. Christin Marie Nichols, the studio’s founder, described the item as a reimagining of a cultural staple.

Nichols stated that the bamboo hoop is an iconic element of Black women’s fashion. The studio aims to honor that history while updating the design for current customers. She noted that the new earring is the first of its kind within the Solstice line.

The bamboo earring gained widespread popularity during the 1980s and 1990s. Hip-hop culture helped establish the jewelry piece as a wardrobe essential for many women. LL Cool J’s lyrics referencing the accessory contributed to its lasting recognition. The design has remained a favorite across generations since that era.

Christin Marie Studio operates as the number one jewelry brand on TikTok Shop. The company grew over three years without paid advertising. Customer demand and community engagement drove its expansion. The brand launched with the Solstice collection and later introduced lines such as Midnight Tennis and the Dreamscape pop-up.

The studio also held a pop-up event at The Grove in Los Angeles. Nichols is a nominee for the 2026 Glossy Fashion and Luxury Awards. The award category is Best Use of TikTok Shop.

The Solstice Hoop becomes available on Friday, November 27, 2026. Customers can purchase the item at christinmariestudio.com.
