College basketball players are moving in record numbers this fall. Nearly 1,600 athletes entered the system during the recent cycle. The volume of movement has created immediate changes at major programs. Three schools lost most of their previous rosters to the portal. Stanford, Iowa State, and Tennessee were the hardest hit by the exodus. Other teams gained depth as they absorbed these departed players.

Twelve specific transfers are expected to make an immediate impact with their new programs. Audi Crooks leads the list at Oklahoma State. The 6-foot-3 senior center was the second-highest scorer in Iowa State history. She averaged 25.8 points per game for the Cyclones last season. The Cowgirls added her to a roster that already received significant star power from the portal. Her presence provides a major interior advantage for the team.

Addy Brown joined defending champion UCLA from Iowa State. The 6-2 senior forward averaged 13.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 5.2 assists last year. She missed 11 games due to injury during that campaign. UCLA coach Cori Close must replace her top six players from the previous national championship team. Brown serves as a key addition to that rebuilding effort.

Talaysia Cooper moved from Tennessee to Ole Miss. The 6-0 senior guard averaged 16.6 points for the Lady Vols last season. She shot 34.3 percent from the three-point line. Her length offers a substantial benefit for Ole Miss coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin. Madison St. Rose transferred to Notre Dame from Princeton. She exhausted her eligibility at the Ivy League school because those programs do not allow graduate years. The 5-10 guard will provide veteran leadership and partner with star Hannah Hidalgo in the backcourt.

Jordan Lee joined South Carolina from Texas. The 6-0 junior guard was the second leading scorer for the Longhorns. She averaged 13.2 points last season and is noted for perimeter defense. She joins a Gamecocks team that is already well-stocked with talent. Aaliyah Crump went from Texas to Duke. The 6-1 sophomore forward averaged 7.9 points last year but played in only 24 games due to injury. She shot 32 percent from beyond the arc and adds an offensive threat for Kara Lawson's squad.

Nunu Agara transferred from Stanford to Maryland. The 6-2 senior forward brings veteran leadership to a young team. She averaged 11.4 points and 6.1 rebounds over three seasons at Stanford. Her final year stats were 15.3 points and 8.7 rebounds. Liv McGill joined Oklahoma State from Florida. The 5-9 junior guard averaged 22.5 points, 6.3 assists, and 6.1 rebounds last season. With Audi Crooks now on the roster, McGill may not need to carry as much of the offensive load.

Dani Carnegie is on her second transfer, moving to Iowa. The 5-9 junior guard averaged 17.8 points for Georgia last year. She posted 12.9 points as a freshman at Georgia Tech. Jada Williams joined LSU from Iowa State. The 5-8 senior guard is on her third team after starting at Arizona. She averaged 7.7 assists and 15.3 points for the Cyclones last season. Donovyn Hunter is playing for her third team at UCLA. The 6-0 senior guard reached the Elite Eight as a freshman at Oregon State. She helped TCU advance to that stage the past two years. She averaged 10.2 points and 3.2 rebounds last season while shooting 33.7 percent from three.

Kate Koval joined Baylor from LSU. The 6-5 junior center received an NCAA waiver in August to leave the Tigers. She is on her third school in three seasons, having started at Notre Dame. She averaged 8.3 points and 6.3 rebounds for LSU last year. She offers an interior presence for the Bears this season.
